An Introduction

In June 2006 Jack Saunders, Lawrence Brown and James Griffin launched The Bunker Gallery; an idiosyncratic venue situated in the basement of their rented student accommodation, Leeds (UK). With the intension of rejuvenating the dank and neglected space that lay empty below them they set about transforming it from an unused private basement into

a functioning public gallery which went on to host six unique and memorable exhibitions. Covering a diverse range of art and design mediums, the gallery became synonymous for showcasing the work of talented young artists and designers from around the city. This unassuming venue went on to receive acclaim from The Guardian, The Leeds Guide, and Rant Magazine.

Sadly The Bunker's temporary existence came to an end in June 2007, after one year of dedicated work the basement returned to its empty state. The Bunker's final legacy is 'Limitless Possibilities: The Bunker Gallery'.
